1. Map and AOI Selection

Select a reservoir, draw AOI, or upload a boundary. If a database reservoir has no built-in boundary, draw/upload its AOI and the app will still auto-fill available metadata.

2. Help and Methodology

Auto-fill logic

Known reservoir metadata fills capacity, dead storage and reference WSA. If reference WSA is missing or left 0, the app estimates it from JRC Global Surface Water max_extent.

India reservoir database

An editable seed database is included. It contains verified seed fields for your focus reservoirs and placeholders for major Indian reservoirs. Add official values as needed.

Volume estimate

Area ratio: proportional storage estimate.
Nonlinear curve: conservative area-volume approximation.

No Drive export

Map layers are Earth Engine tiles. Only CSV and PDF are downloaded locally.
